Magnificent Light – March 2022 Concert

Hudson Chorale returned to live performance this past March, presenting two concerts titled Magnificent Light, held March 26 & 27, 2022 at Irvington Presbyterian Church, 25 North Broadway, Irvington. Our concert recording is now live via our YouTube channel; click to listen!

Hudson Chorale was joined by members of the Westchester Choral Society to perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat and Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna, under the baton of Artistic Director David Baranowski.

This is the first live performance of the groups in two years, and featured these exuberant, hope-filled works sung by soloists and choristers, with full orchestra and organist. The concerts took place at 3 p.m. both days, in the lovely sanctuary of Irvington Presbyterian Church. The Sunday concert is now available for playback for a limited time on Hudson Chorale’s YouTube channel, fulfilling the group’s promise to maintain community access in the time of COVID.

Hudson Chorale is grateful to the Westchester Community Foundation, which in 2021 awarded us a two-year grant to support this concert program and our planned January 2023 concert as well.
