Hudson Chorale is delighted to present our latest virtual efforts, with a performance even more ambitious than our Virtual Vivaldi.
Accompanied by chamber orchestra, Hudson Chorale will present a virtual concert featuring selections by Bach, Brahms, and Mendelssohn. Entitled Peace, Joy…and Sheep, this melodic and at times, whimsical concert will be sure to delight.
Tune in to hudsonchorale.org on June 6, 2021 at 4pm (and thereafter), for streaming access to this exciting program. Permanent YouTube link to the concert here.
It gave us peace, joy and happiness to sing this music, and we know it will bring peace and joy and smiles to you all.
This concert will feature more than 40 members of the Hudson Chorale, each singer joining from her or his home to sing together on a digital audio platform. Additionally, instrumental musicians including a violinist, violist, trumpeter, oboeist and french horn player each recorded their parts separately. Our Artistic Director David Baranowski directed the chorus, recorded organ and harpsichord parts and mixed nearly 50 audio channels to create this concert. Baranowski was ably assisted by singer and french horn player Wil Dannenberg and technical engineer Kevin Geraghty to produce this YouTube concert.
We are forever grateful to the Westchester Community Foundation (WCF), a division of The New York Community Trust, which provided a grant that partly underwrote this concert production. The WCF provides this grant in support of the perpetuation of German culture–and German music is one of our specialties. Thanks to the WCF, as well as our faithful audience and donors.
